The optimal way to utilize a large dance floor was to try to make everyone happy. (Never an easy accomplishment.) So rather than have dances and dancers competing with each other for space on the dance floor, Tumbl'weeds used a layout something like this:

[insert graphic here showing dance floor.]

2/3 of the floor was sectioned off for dancing

1/3 of the floor was designated a "practice floor" where lessons were ongoing throughout the night!

On the larger 2/3 section, the floor had imaginary lines to distinguish:

In this way, we utilized every square foot of our huge dance floor — for dancing!

For those who chose not to dance, there was bleacher seating on the side. But the bleachers were always empty! No one ever sat!!

If you knew how to dance to a song — you danced... if you didn't — you went to the practice floor and learned it!

A fantastic formula that kept everyone on the dance floor all night long!!
